The admin's major goal should be to create a strong user community. For this reason we designed two registration methods. The first one, Quick Registration, allows users to open accounts without providing an address. The second method, Full Registration, requires users to provide additional personal information (see below), but once completed, they can immediately start doing business.
Create and activate an account to take full advantage of the site's features.
Select registration method from the Settings (Admin Interface -> Settings -> User Settings -> Registration & Verification ) menu:
Users have to create a username, select a password and provide a valid email address.
Note: Users that selected Quick Registration, must also, before posting or purchasing items, complete the address field.
Complete Quick Registration and provide full name and contact information including:
- State / County
- Zip / Post Code
- Phone Number
- Date of Birth
Minimum Registration Age
Enter the minimum age to register.
Note: Leave it empty to disable the feature.
Direct Payment Gateways Fields
If enabled will display the setup fields for the direct payment gateways on the registration page.
If checked, when registering, new users will have to agree to the site's terms and / or privacy policies.
Terms and Conditions Link
Enter the URL of the terms and conditions page (relative URL).
Complete the Create Account fields:
- State/County (where applicable)
- Zip Code
- Date of Birth
- Subscribe to Newsletter (optional)
- The username is unique and cannot be changed
- Only one email address can be associated with an account
- Password must be at least 6 characters long
