From the Users Reputation (Admin Control Panel -> Settings -> User Settings -> Users Reputation) menu:

Enable Reputation

If checked, enables the reputation module.

Additional Feature

Enable Private Reputation Comments

If enabled will set reputation comments to private / unavailable. Users won't be able to see and read them.

Note: Only the reputation score will be viewable.
