General
PHP 8.1+, MySQL 8.1+ or MariaDB 10.4+, and cURL are required. A standard shared hosting environment is sufficient for most installations. The full list is on the requirements page.
The installation is designed to be straightforward. If you find it challenging, our same-day installation service costs £50 and we handle everything. For any post-installation issues, open a support ticket and we'll respond promptly.
Log in to the Admin Control Panel and upload your logo directly. Takes a couple of seconds — no code, no developer required.
The optional unbranding service (£50) removes the visible PHP Pro Bid copyright text from the user-facing end of your site. Your platform, your brand — no mention of us.
No. Generate a new activation key from your client area — it's free. Your license moves with you.
Purchasing
Yes. The live demo is fully functional — browse the front end as a buyer, list items as a seller, or log in to the Admin Control Panel to see the full back end. The demo also lets you switch themes and adjust settings in real time.
Go to the Members area, log in, and download PHP Pro Bid. It's available immediately after purchase.
A PHP Pro Bid license covers one website. For multiple sites, purchase an additional license per site. A development or testing installation is always included at no extra cost.
Minor updates address bugs and small enhancements within the same major version. These are always free for customers who purchased the current major version. Major version upgrades are available at a discount for existing license holders.
Once a new major version is released, patches for previous versions are discontinued. We recommend upgrading to stay current with security improvements and new features. Existing license holders receive a discount on major version upgrades — contact us for details.
Usability
Yes. By default the platform allows any registered user to list items, similar to a general marketplace. But you can restrict selling to your account only, or grant selling privileges to specific approved users. It's a setting in the Admin Control Panel — no code required.
No limits of any kind. The software is fully scalable — as many users, active auctions, and listings as your server can handle. You're not paying per listing or per user.
SSL is optional but strongly recommended. Payment details are always handled securely by the payment processor regardless. If you have SSL installed, set your site URL to https:// from the Site Setup page in the Admin Control Panel.
PayPal, Stripe (via add-on), WorldPay, SagePay, Authorize.net, Skrill, 2Checkout, Nochex, and bank transfer (via add-on) are all included. Multiple gateways can run simultaneously. If your preferred gateway isn't listed, contact us about custom integration.
Yes. PHP Pro Bid is fully responsive — it works on smartphones and tablets out of the box. For a fully branded native app experience, we also build custom iOS and Android mobile apps connected directly to your platform.
Currencies, countries, date formats, and regional settings are all configurable from the Admin Control Panel. For non-English sites, a free Translations Pack is available covering French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Danish and Turkish.
